True Community & Trust in Teams
This 2-session course covers how to increase cross-cultural knowledge through deep listening, trust, and community building, and how this enhances cultural humility.
What you will learn
- Identify gaps in trust, cross-cultural knowledge, and team dynamics
- Explain ways to increase cross-cultural knowledge through deep listening, trust, and community building, and how this enhances cultural humility
- Explain personally held culturally revered traits or cultural patterns, as well as how these preferences and cultural differences affect the delivery of harm-reduction-based leadership tool and techniques
- Explain the true community model and how to assess areas of team strengths and growth, based on the application of this tool
Workshops typically include:
- Introductions and icebreakers
- Review of trust development and betrayal recovery
- Overview of rue community model and application as a group assessment tool
- Small group discussion on the role leadership facilitation of cultural humility, community, and trust within teams.

- DEI leaders, chief diversity or equity officers, administrators, classified professionals, students, program leaders, clergy, community center staff, counselors, educators, therapists, coaches, social workers, and mentors
- Anyone who works directly with other people
- Anyone who works in an organization/network/coalition dedicated to ensuring the cultural safety, health, well-being, sense of belonging, and equity for themselves and others
